The Recreation Department encourages all students, faculty and staff to take part in open recreation, intramurals, club sports, fitness and wellness programming.
In the new Power Recreation Center, located in the Power Center on Forbes Avenue, students, faculty, and staff participate in exercise and recreation programs to make new friends, learn about teamwork and develop respect for a healthy lifestyle. The Power Recreation Center is also a great place for friends to meet and just hang out.
Our department also supports intramural and club sports.
Mission
The Mission of the Recreation Department is to provide the University community with a variety of sports, fitness, wellness and recreational activities which support the University Mission. Recreational programming will enable students and other community members to improve their physical fitness, develop new lifelong leisure time skills, employ ethical decision making, and practice civility.
